Radioactive

Our last day in Chiang Mai of course involved our favorite meals. Mine were pineapple pancakes, and the pineapple fried rice. I'm not lying when I say that we picked our eateries based on the amount of pineapple on the menu. I can not be in a place with such fresh pineapple and not take advantage of eating it in every meal.

We also hit up the big Saturday market in town. It is always so fun to see what the trends are in different spots around the world. And this market was huge. We had a blast!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed traveling with these girls

We then packed up and took off for our overnight bus to Bangkok.

Em's bag was literally half the size of her.

I loved Chiang Mai, I really did. When I got home I found a list on TripAdvisor of the top 25 places to visit. Chiang Mai was one of them, and I completely understand why it made the list. It is a city set on the edge of mountains and jungles. It is a city trying to emerge out of the lower-level of world-ness it has been in the past. It is cheap, and it is fun. It is full of foreigners, and the nicest Thais you'll ever meet. There is shopping, and there is all the outdoor activities you can think of. I'm so glad we included this stop on our little trip. Not to mention the food...I still talk about that food daily.
